There has been some seismic changes for GMEC Solutions during 2024, which is our 10th year of operations, through the development of our own engineering and fabrication workshop to bring works in-house and further develop and strengthen our services to our clients.

In doing so we have significantly raised the bar on the size and complexity of the design and fabrication projects we are able to handle and deliver at a high standard to our valued clients.

A recent example is the complete review and replacement of plant access measures for one of Heidelberg Materials aggregate processing screenhouse structures.

The scope of works developed from issues raised from a structural report highlighting deterioration and need for replacement of existing high-level access stairway arrangement.
GMEC Solutions were asked to review and quote for the complete design, fabrication and installation of an improved access design, with additional capability of full building length maintenance platform for bin internal access, plus proposed next phase works of high-level lifting point arrangements for site maintenance and addition access point development for improved plant access.
All completed to required standards and with our GMEC preference of environmental resistant and long service life promoting, galvanised finish.

The site installation was completed with controlled management following CDM good practice (though non-notifiable) and with all installation works completed within a 3 week window, with minimal disruption to site operations.

We have continued to secure a wide range of fabrication and site installation projects throughout 2024 which provides further support to our site maintenance, inspection and repair services.
